If you have received a severely damaged sword, please feel free to request a replacement. The purpose of using oil to maintain the blade is to form a protective film on the surface, isolating the blade from oxygen and preventing oxidation and rusting during storage.

Our katana is handmade and forged in fire. We have upgraded the blades from 1060 high carbon steel to 9260 spring steel, making them more practical. The full-tang 9260 spring steel blade features a blackening treatment, and there is no blood groove.

The blade material is 9260 spring steel, with a weight of 1.20kg/2.6lbs, a length of 103cm/40.55 inches, a handle length of 26cm/10.24 inches, and a blade length of 71cm/27.95 inches. The hardness is 52HRC, and the sori (curvature) is 1.8cm/0.71 inches.

The handle is made of hardwood, decorated with black ray skin and black rope wrappings, providing a comfortable grip and a visually appealing design. The tsuba, or hand guard, is made of alloy with a porous cut and a black lacquer finish, adding to the traditional Japanese aesthetic.

Compared to lower-quality katana swords, our 9260 spring steel blade offers superior toughness and bending rebound. The blade's blackening process, using a mixed solution of ferrous salt, strong alkali, and hydrazine hydrate, creates a protective layer of dense iron oxide particles fused with the carbon steel substrate.

In response to customer feedback, we have improved the packaging by adding a simple knife holder inside. This black katana sword is made of 1060 high carbon steel, with a baked black blade and scabbard. The handle is made of solid wood, held in place by two bamboo pegs and two copper blades clamped to a black cutout disc. The scabbard and handle are hand-wound with solid black rayon cord for a better grip.

This sword is extremely sharp, so please handle it with caution and keep it away from people and animals. It makes an excellent gift for relatives, friends, or as a family decoration. However, it is not suitable for children under 16 years old.
