The blade of this economical edition Musashi katana has been meticulously hand-crafted from carbon steel, featuring a razor-sharp edge with a visible kissaki (tip) and a balanced, full-tang construction that can be disassembled. Though an affordable option, this sword still boasts top-of-the-line quality.

[Dimensions] The overall length of the sword measures 40.3 inches, with a blade length of 29 inches. The blade, finished in a sleek black color, demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship.

[Blade] The sword's blade is made of through-hardened carbon steel, showcasing a hamon (Habuchi) - the distinct transition zone from soft to hard steel - along the edge. This precise craftsmanship ensures the blade's sharpness and durability.

[Scabbard] The wooden scabbard, or saya, is coated in a high-gloss black lacquer finish, with a black cotton sageo (cord) wrapped around the upper half. The scabbard's throat is reinforced with blackened steel.

[Hilt] The hilt, or tsuka, features an imitation ray skin (same) wrap held in place by two steel pins (menuki) shaped like dragons. A black cotton ito (cord) has been neatly wrapped over the ray skin for optimal comfort and grip. The double-ring design of the blackened steel tsuba (guard) is a signature feature of the great Musashi.

The fuchi (collar) is blackened steel, while the tsuka core is wooden with an imitation ray skin (same) wrap. A black cotton ito (cord) has been neatly wrapped over the ray skin. Two bamboo mekugi (pegs) secure the tang of the sword, and two alloy menuki (ornaments) are featured on each side of the tsuka.
