The sword is fully handmade in the most traditional Japanese craftsmanship way. It is fully hand-forged, hand-polished, and hand-sharpened by our experienced smith. They are best suited for practice in all sword arts, completion cutting, and collecting.

Blade (Nagasa) This Blade is fully handmade by a professional smith, including hand forged, polished, and sharpened. During the whole process, it is made in the traditional Japanese craftsmanship way. The blade is made of T10 high carbon steel with Maru structure and Chu-Kissaki. It has been laminated in a Maru structure with a clay temper line. A special clay is applied to the blade by hand, using a thin covering near the edge and a thicker layer over the rest of the blade. This results in a relatively quicker cooling of the edge during quenching, producing a harder edge and softer back. The beautiful real hamon is also a result of the differential cooling of the blade (quenching and tempering). The blade is full tang blade, greatly enhancing the strength of the sword. There is Bo-hi (groove) added on both sides of the blade. The blade is strong enough to cut a thick bamboo tree and sharp enough to slice paper.

Notice - The sword is well assembled with saya and a free silk bag. Box and stand are not included. - All of our swords will be professionally checked before shipping out, and the sword will be well packaged by a foam box to protect from damage during the shipping process. - Fully hand-forged blade - Full Tang - Clay Tempered with Hamon - Bo-hi (blood groove) is added to each side of the blade, which can not only lighten the blade but also balance it to achieve optimal performance. - The blade was made of T10 high carbon steel and laminated in a Maru structure with a clay temper line.
